Dr. Nicole Henriksen specializes in pediatric care and ocular disease. As an InfantSEE provider, she offers comprehensive eye exams for infants at no charge. She joined Helena Vision Center in 2010 and was named Montana’s Young Optometrist of the Year in 2014. She served seven years as the state clinical coordinator for the Special Olympics Lions Clubs International Opening Eyes Program and is a member of the Montana and American Optometric Associations. She currently serves as President of the MOA.

Dr. Henriksen grew up on her family ranch in central South Dakota and attended Black Hills State University, where she played basketball for the Lady Yellowjackets. She graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, having received several awards for leadership and clinical excellence.

In her spare time, she enjoys backpacking, fishing, hiking, and spending time with her family. She also loves traveling and has done mission work in Chile and Uganda. Dr. Henriksen appreciates living in the beautiful Helena area and being able to serve her community.

Dr. Matthew Nottingham joined Helena Vision Center in 2013. He grew up in Helena, graduated from Helena High School in 2003, and played basketball for the Orediggers at Montana Tech, where he graduated with honors in biological sciences and received the Rick Shaw Memorial award. In May 2012, he graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry, where he received the Southwest Contact Lens Scholarship. After graduation, Dr. Nottingham received additional training with a residency in ocular disease from the Huntington VA Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.

In his spare time, Dr. Nottingham enjoys fly-fishing, hiking, exercising, and spending time with family. He is grateful to be back in his hometown, providing the Helena community with excellent optometric care.
